Céline Dion's ballad "A Mother's Prayer" appears on a new benefit compilation for the March of Dimes charity, focusing on pregnancy and infant health issues. The motherhood-themed album, titled Stork Tunes, also includes songs from Billy Joel, Norah Jones and Kenny Loggins, among others. In other news, Céline recently revealed that she is a footwear fanatic. "I own between two- and three-thousand pairs of shoes," she admits.
Eric Clapton lent his songwriting talents to two tracks on the upcoming album from soul legend Solomon Burke, Like a Fire (due June 10). Among the tunes was "Thank You," which Slowhand gave to Solomon to complete. "[Eric said], 'I've got the music . . . but you've got to finish it 'cause I've got so many things going on,'" Solomon explains. "And I said, 'Wow! Whoo!' And we finished it off and he was so happy with it."
Maroon 5 have unveiled a super-stylish video for the remix version of their tune "If I Never See Your Face Again," which features R&B star Rihanna; view it here. The original version, sans Ri-Ri, appeared on M5's sophomore album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long. Meanwhile, the rockers performed fan favorites "Makes Me Wonder" and "This Love" during their five-song set at the CW's lineup launch party in New York on Tuesday.
Melissa Etheridge reveals that her forthcoming Revival tour is designed to reflect the autobiographical nature of her 2007 disc, The Awakening. "[The album] is this concept, this journey of my life from coming out to California to where I'm at as a human being now and spirituality and all that stuff," she explains. With each concert, she says, "I'm gonna tell you that story and show you how I have come to where I am now."
